An inscription on the back of the frame.
Very beautiful charcoal from the Empire period. The young woman is seated ¾ to the right and she is wearing a white dress and a cashmere shawl.
The portrait is attributed on the reverse of the frame to JEAN-BAPTISTE PAULIN GUERIN (1783-1855) his works are preserved in museums: Museum of the History of France (Versailles), Rolin Museum, Museum of Art and History of Cholet, Château de Compiègne...
